Scotland led at half-time from a penalty scored by Mulgrew (25') but in the second half it all went wrong for the visitors. Seven minutes in, Peretz poked home the equaliser and in the 61st minute Scotland's Souttar was sent off. In the 75th minute Kieran Tiernay attempted to clear a fast cross but miskicked, slicing the ball past his own goalkeeper.

Two minutes before the break László Kleinheisler fired in a stunning drive that would prove to be the winner. The match was played behind closed doors as a punishment for racist behaviour in Hungary's Euro 2016 qualifier with Romania.

Estonia won their first game of the competition and their first ever against Greece. The decisive goal came just before half-time when Lampropoulos turned a low cross into his own goal. In the second half Greece pressed hard, Fortounis going close with a free-kick that struck the post. A spectacular overhead kick by Karelis was pushed away by the Estonian 'keeper in the 84th minute.

Kraev gave the visitors an early lead that was cancelled out by Zajc in the 40th minute. In the second half, the Slovenian goalkeeper rushed out to intercept a long cross but could only deflect the ball onto the onrushing Kraev who went on to score. Despite their dominance of possession, the home team could not capitalise.

A draw was on the cards but in the final minute of normal time, Stojanović rose to clear a high free-kick but only managed to glance the ball into his own net.

In the 24th minute Zachariou latched onto a long clearance on the right with Bulgaria's defenders nowhere to be seen. After running on into the goal area he slotted the ball past the advancing 'keeper. The visitors besieged the Cypriot defence but could not find the goal until the very last minute when Popov was needlessly brought down in the area by Laifis and Dimitrov converted the penalty. The failure to collect the three points would prove expensive for the home team.

The match was marred by racist behaviour by home supporters that would attract further sanctions from UEFA.
