2021 Centenary
Designer: Umbro
In 2020 Umbro took over as the FAI's official kit sponsor and for their first offering, came up with a classic design in "Pine Green" with a neat white V neck trimmed in green and gold. The change strip simply reversed the colours but also featured a jacquard pattern printed into the fabric of the shirt. Mercifully replica's sold to the public no longer featured a sponsor's logo.
A limited edition shirt was produced to mark the centenary of the formation of the FA of Ireland in September 1921, a year before the partition of Ireland. The colour is St Patrick's blue which was worn by the Irish team at the time. It was worn in a 4-0 win over Qatar on 12 October 2021.

Umbro's second first choice shirt featured white and orange trim at the cuffs and random shards of darker green on the body. For once the change strip was not a reversal of the first choice outfit but instead was a reimagining of the orange and black strip worn in 1997-98.

In October 2022 the FAI announced that it was severing all links with JACC Sports Distributors, Umbro's distributor in the Republic even though the contract had four more years to run. No reason was given at the time but within days JACC were in the High Court facing a petition to liquidate the company over unpaid debts amounting to €13 million. The FAI was described as a significant creditor and without the contract JACC went out of business in very short order.
Castore took over as technical sponsor and designed a first kit that had alternating white and orange pinstripes on the body. The white change shirt did not follow the same pattern and instead had broadly spaced horizontal green pin stripes. As usual shorts and socks could be interchanged, which, should have been sufficient for any eventuality. Nonetheless, the FAI ordered an entirely unnecessary black third kit.
The FAI crest also had a makeover while a single shamrock appeared on each sock, a nice touch.

The 2024 kits were really rather understated and uncluttered. Orange trim appeared on the collara and sock but was kept minimal. The shirts themselves had a complex, flowing jacquard pattern woven into them evidently inspired by the Celtic knot.
Unfortunately the FAI once again decided to enter into a sponsorship arrangement, this time with Sky TV, whose logo appeared on replica shirts sold to the public.
